Man Feeding Fish

Man Feeding Fish

story behind the piece

In 2017, I took a job week-long job in Morocco. When the job wrapped, myself and the crew decided to spend an additional 8 days exploring the country. Here, my friend Frankie Pancakes and I were walking along the wall that runs along the harbor of Port D’Essourioa when I spotted this man tossing his lunch remains into the water, bit by bit. It was very common to see locals in this town walk down to the reef and rock areas with a plate of bread and fish. The man was barefoot, walking very delicately while throwing small remains into the sea; presumably for fish to eat. I positioned myself on the wall where he was backlit by the sun and caught the moment when he looked back as his friend yelled over to him.
