Rodeo Crew
story behind the piece
In 2018, I was working on a documentary at the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo. It followed a promising rodeo star at one of the biggest rodeos in America. In order to not stick out like sore thumbs, our entire crew had to dress like cowboys to blend in with the crowd. This moment is a photo of our crew sitting in the waiting area behind where the bulls get positioned. We were waiting to film our rider’s turn to determine the fate of his career and the fate of our documentary film.
