NY Sunset Session
story behind the piece
The day I first got my underwater housing for my fuji, there was some swell rolling in later in the day. A few friends were surfing over in Long Beach and a met up with them and swam around for roughly 2 hours with no fins. Got a few action shots in the water but it wasn’t until after I got out of the water that this moment happened. My friend Joey was looking out at the surf, silhouetted by the sun. I lined up a shot and could hear some seagulls approaching from behind us. I waited until they fly by, clicked, and caught this moment. Funny how it’s the shot you’re not trying to get that ends up being your favorite frame of the day.
